New York Shitty meets Evan Thies...

And it's not pretty...

Miss Heather is a mean, angry, loser -- truly a depressing specimen of humankind.

What other kind of person would get SO offended about some campaign worker interrupting her at dinner time? Apparently she had "other things to do," which precluded her from speaking with this guy. Might those "other things" include writing an unnecessarily mean-spirited blog post about the encounter, including the visual of her cat's vomit? Please...

Also, it seems a little simplistic to say that Evan is "Yassky 2.0" when the two disagree on the only issue she mentions -- the Broadway Triangle. In case Miss Heather didn't know, Yassky supports the proposal while Evan has spoken out against it.

I'm not saying that Evan is perfect, or even that I support him. What I am saying is that Miss Heather is an idiot.

I have to say that I was equally unimpressed by Miss Heather's post. (What is her real identity anyway and would she please change the name of her blog to something less offensive like "NY DOO DOO?")
What I never truly get about her blog is if actually does anything to address everything she complains about. If you really want to effect change, you have be willing to commit time and energy to it, not just bitch out it...

Miss Heather's post was right on the money. Evan had a chance to take a stand on the Broadway Triangle issue, and instead he acted like a spineless coward and resigned from the Community Board.
I know for a FACT that members of the Community Board that Evan served on are saying privately the he would be no better than David Yassky. And they are FRIENDS of Evan.
How sad is that?

One might not enjoy Miss Heather's style but that doesn't mean she isn't making sense. And she's done the community great journalistic service in the past with her extensive coverage of issues like Studio B, doing DOB research and helping to bring all their illegalities to light. She's one of our best watchdogs regarding abuses like those.

MH makes an excellent point about Evan Thies's resignation before the Broadway Triangle vote. There's not much excuse for Evan Thies to make about the timing of his CB1 resignation. It's even worse for him to say that he didn't realize the implication of his resignation's timing, in that he'd miss the CB1 Broadway Triangle vote. If that's not true it's a weak spin. And if it's true --- ? Would he miss important Council votes too due to such lapses in attention?

I can agree that you might not like her delivery, but Miss Heather's post raises important points which shouldn't be dismissed.

Thanks for all you "doo" Miss Heather.

It takes a over-riding sense of entitlement to not respect the fact that when someone has an unlisted number and when she herself has not given it to you, you probably should not use it...the caller could have emailed. And, yes, calling during dinner-time still is considered rude by many.

#1 & #2 She strikes a nerve, and you can't stand it. Funny that you keep reading it, and protesting it, if it's baseless lies.
# 2 (doo doo) needs her own site. NewYorkPretty where you don't have to see Brooklyn, warts-and-all.
Just the well organized parts.
