A bloodied, sopping wet Mieszko Kalita, who smelled of sewage and salty brine, announced this afternoon that his Manhattan Avenue deli, Beata Deli, will feature a Special tuna fish hoagie through the weekend.
When asked whether he heard reports about a dolphin sighting in Newtown Creek, Kalita paused quietly for thirty seconds before adding, "Clearly the quality of the water is improving."
Updated: Kalita added that the tuna is locally sourced off the coast of Newtown Creek. Also, there have been no new dolphin sightings on March 4.
