Thursday morning thoughts: Dead Authors Society

Author J.D. Salinger just died. Howard Zinn died on Wednesday. Um... anyone know how Philip Roth is doing? He can't go now! He hasn't won a Nobel yet!

Zelda Rubeinstein died, too. How could you leave her off the list? She was the author -- to be fair, facilitator -- of at least three de-Poltergeistings.

It's crazy, in the haze of collegiate growth, you workship these people like living gods; it almost seems mundane for them to die.

Someone should definitely check up on both Elie Wiesel and Noam Chomsky (both 81).
