Yes, some new gin and whiskey distilleries are coming to Brooklyn, including one in Williamsburg founded by Tom Potter, the former brewmaster at the Brooklyn Brewery.

Potter got the idea for a gin distillery from attending events like this in Oregon. (There's a slight chance that this is the same Tom Potter in the video. Tom, if you're reading, can you verify this?):
